I know this review is long but it is worth the read. Let me start off by saying how much I love flowers and they were an important part of my wedding day. I had all the flowers done through Nicole for my wedding. She was booked for me through my decorator in the beginning. In the end, I found her to be VERY expensive and her delivery charges were ridiculous! From her original quote, she raised her price and nothing extra changed from the pictures originally sent to her to quote on. It was too late to switch florists at that point so I had no choice to deal with her price and I think she knew that. I did add a couple things I knew I would pay extra for but when she came back with her quote on my extras, both my decorator and myself were shocked and so we worked out a different solution. Most of the flowers were beautiful, with the exception of the flowers that were falling out of our bouquets and the mums she supplied which are all dead only a week after, and they were indoor mums and have been kept indoors. Very disappointed because we were going to share them with family once we got home from our honeymoon but now we can't. Indoor mums should last a lot longer than a week especially what we paid for them. I would expect to get my $$ back for these but not sure it is even worth the attempt. Also, I gave all the names to Nicole for all the corsages so that they would be labelled on the day of so I could have someone hand them out for me. Nicole had also wanted the names for this reason. They were NOT labelled at all, causing chaos right before the wedding as there were quite a few and at that point I was going off of memory because it was supposed to be handled by Nicole. Was not impressed with her shop in general. Very disorganized, dusty and dirty. I do not suggest asking to use the washroom as it is a disaster in the basement. Also, until it was my meeting time, Nicole would not even acknowledge my existence even though she walked past me several times as I was waiting and browsing her shop. Found that to be rude but again I booked her with my decorator a year in advance. I do not live in the area so I went based on glowing reviews of Nicole and based on her initial quote. I didn't actually meet her until a few weeks before the wedding just to go over everything from the quote. Had I met her earlier I would have gone elsewhere for sure but due to timing I had no choice. Overall, very disappointed mostly with the pricing and dealing with Nicole. I had only heard great things through people in the area about Nicole and her shop so I was super excited to deal with her but now regret it! The two stars is solely because regardless of experience most of the flowers were beautiful.
The final result was beyond my wildest dreams! Nicole and team are so incredibly talented. They heard my every request and interpreted every idea in the most beautiful way. The flowers were definitely a show stopper for the whole wedding weekend!
Our venues recommended florist list included Seasons in the Country, and we liked their work online. We reached out to inquire as to their availability for our wedding date. It turned out she was available - she sent her rough pricing schedule, to which we agreed, and advised that we would like to proceed with this company. I asked her to reach out to my fiancee for design concepts required for her quote, which she requested. She never attempted to reach my fiancee, and claims she e-mailed me with information for a deposit, which I never received. Even if she had, I would have expected the common courtesy to reach out to us, after I very explicitly stated I would like to move forward with her, before offering the date elsewhere. We followed up a few weeks later after not hearing anything, to be told that she was no longer available on that date, with no attempt to find a solution or alternative. This was very inconsiderate and unprofessional in my opinion. She had both my contact information and that of my fiancee, and didn't once attempt to reach us before giving the date away, which was over 8 months away, so not urgent to fill.
Always SO helpful...especially for those who dont have a green thumb.Always the most beautiful hanging baskets.
