Great local business and community partner to our charitable organization. They offer great deals for our volunteers and kids to get out and enjoy the outdoors together. In addition, on a personal level, my sister-in-law rented a SUP from them this weekend so we could go paddling together and the staff was helpful and interested in hearing about our experience when we returned the board. Would recommend for sure!
Open on the Family Day weekend and had rentals for snowshoes and a wide ski that was new for us (as well as fat bikes, but we didn't try those). We we sent away from an over-hyped local park and wanted to get in some outdoor fun, so climbed the small trail system run by the LIVOutside shop just across the bridge and had a great time. Lovely views of Bracebridge and lots of cardio in the snow. Trails total for snowshoeing are probably 3-4 km and well marked. Many thanks to Thomas for sharing his knowledge and salvaging our weekend !
Very disappointing dealings. We booked in one month in advance for kayak rental and instructor and called in twice before our booking to ensure everything was good for our booking. Peter the owner called us at 5pm night before and cancelled our next morning appointment of 930am since he was busy with big group now and his other instructor was also busy with another group. The excuse we were given is that his instructor called one day earlier and cancelled but they could not explain why it took them more than 24 hours to tell us that they are cancelling our booking/reservation and not informing us in advance when he learned about it. Peter called us at 5pm when all the other stores were closed and we have no way to make any other arrangements. Very disappointing service and attitude that we were given - only things which was said to us that he cannot do anything. . Does not even deserve the rating of one out of 5Very disappointing cancelling our appointment at last minute and we took day off to do this.Hopefully they will not treat other people like this with small groups.
Rented 4 x SUPs $149..got there..."sign these waivers".."go down to waterfront"...get down to waterfront..."got paperwork?" Umm no...we were just told to come down here..."here are your paddles...taller person can have this one...me.."thats too tall"..boy "ah it's good"....oh look that's my lunch...gotta go"...gave us paddles...SUPs...no direction on use...no river guidance or directions...came back...no one to help us with paddle boards...no thank you...nothing.. very unprofessional..would not recommend you...
